VA Lake Nona Medical Center BAS Upgrade
Orlando, FL
Healthcare
This existing VA medical center required a major upgrade/replacement of the existing Lon based control system to and BACnet Johnson Controls system. The full-service hospital and clinic facility includes a large HVAC system that includes a central utility plant, steam/hot water systems, more than 80 air handling units, fan coils and more than 1,500 terminal units. All HVAC equipment controllers were replaced with new controllers and a new BAS graphical interface was included with the upgrade. Akin Brooks served as the lead commission authority and verified all HVAC system sequences and control instrumentation.
