UF Harn Museum Air Handlers Replacement
Gainesville, FL
Higher Education
This project at the world renowned Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida was part of the University’s deferred maintenance program to replace old and failing HVAC and electrical infrastructure. The project included replacements of 7 large AHUs with updated controls and instrumentation. The museum space required special attention with respect to noise, humidity, and ventilation. The project required no downtime with respect to conditioned air so careful planning of HVAC equipment selections, size and the ability to demo the old system, while also replacing it with new units, was a major consideration during the design process. Akin Brooks is also providing commissioning services to ensure all systems perform as intended.
