Florida Department of Health BSL3 Control Upgrades

This project consisted of a building wide control system upgrade and the complete commissioning for this laboratory facility with BSL3 and BSL2 laboratory spaces. The project included upgrades to all control system controllers and instrumentation and included updated sequences. Akin Brooks completed a pre-design test to determine the extent of instrumentation deficiencies. In addition, Akin Brooks provided guidance with regards to BSL3 protocols and good design practices. This facility had to be executed in a continuously occupied facility and mandated little to no downtime of critical air systems.
